Hear no progress, see no progress, speak no progress

This is what the stupid car company is doing right now. One week back we handed in my car to 'Al-Habtoor' for repair. And until three days ago they had not handed in the bloody insurance papers to the insurance company! ANNOYING!!!! and now my car will take about 2 more weeks to come. So here goes my stupid car for the net two weeks... KILL ME!!!!!!

*note: NEVER fall into a major accident!*

Weird Urges

Have you ever got the urge to do something REALLY weird or freaky when you are annoyed or something is getting to your nerves. Well...a few days ago, i had the EXACT same urges and they continued for a period of time (maybe even till today). So here goes the list:

  1. Whilst driving, i had this urge to break through all the cars just to reach home. There was bloody too much traffic!
  2. Just to avoid the traffic, I wanted my car to become a small tinee winee little car so that I can go under the cars and reach home ASAP!
  3. I felt like a vampire who was blood thirsty and was surround by humans and YET could not drink the blood.
  4. I saw a couple walking hand in hand and felt like slapping the guy because i just find it really annoying when people show that they are a couple.
  5. i felt like going to the guy who was sitting on his bicycle and pushing him down
  6. i saw a 'sardar' (Sikh) and wanted to pop my head out the window and sing "Bhootni Ke"
  7. Just out of nowhere, i felt like scratching my self at the back and shoulders (too itchy)
  8. I couldnt get past a game in FIFA and so i wanted to go in a break the head of the goalie
  9. i couldn't find my notebook and i wanted to break the writing table into million little pieces
  10. Facebook wouldnt take the pictures to upload and so i wanted to tear the photos after pulling them out from the screen!
And blah blah blah....

*i'm still addicted to the Twilight Saga...can't concentrate in class....ARGH!
and plus i can't decide as to who is better. Edward or Jacob?*

My First Ever Accident!

Allright... a very very short blog.

On Monday the 20th of October, I had my very first accident. I was crossing my car at a junction to go straight at about 40 kmph (an inside road has that much speed limit) and a Merc hit my car on the passenger side with about 80 - 90 kmph. Yeah...Merc's radiator got busted and he couldn't restart the car and my car doors were almost gone. Hehe. Newayz, since it was not my fault I was given a 200 dhs fine coz acoording to the law, once you enter the junction, no matter what happens, if the other car is coming straight and breaking all the laws, still its their right and the fault comes on you! Stupid...I KNOW! Anyways, since it wasnt my fault (as i have already mentioned) he cut 200 dhs from the fine and didnt give my 4 black points (phew!). And my car will be gone for bout 15-20 days until the stupid company repairs it! ARGH!!!!

*BTW....I LOOOOVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TWILIGHT SAGA!!!!*

New Obsession

So here it is. Yes its the Twilight series...and more over its the guy himself. EDWARD! Mesmerizing story and plot.Amazing characters. Mind blowing dialogues... all that you would ever want in a good novel. And for the first time ever i actually like this love story! It is so unique, nothing like the old vampire love stories or vampire myths. So easy to understand and yet so well written. People who never liked vampire books, gotta tell you that you will SURELY love this one! So leave all those weird vampire myths and stories behind and get on reading. After Harry Potter, you just cannot miss this one. Gotta admit though, I love this book more than Harry Potter and i think the couple is just AWESOME!

Why do Americans annoy me?

In one of my recent posts: Annoyingly Annoying... i wrote about the things or people that annoy me and it included Americans. So people questioned me: why do you hate Americans? do you hate all Americans? So i thought i would tell the story.

I never hated America/Americans until 9th july,2001. I visited Canada for the first time that month. My time in Canada was passing very well. Then came 9th July. My birthday. Since we had an american visit visa, we thought we would go to America with our family friends. So with everything packed up, we headed towards Niagara Falls (goin by road). At the borders, the American police officers checked our things, our belongings and then our passports. Then they asked us for some papers and we eventually gave it to them. They made us wait at the borders for 3 hours and finally gave us an answer. "NO" was what we heard from them. We had an American visa, property in Canada and we were not illegal either. And yet for no reason they didn't let us into the American land. I would have accepted if they had given a reason, bur there were none and since then, my hatred for Americans came into existence. And I donot wish to keep any connections to that country. So I refused to study/ live there!

That my friends is the story! And yes you might say that not all Americans are bad but people, not all Muslims are bad too. Yet I have seen that a lot of people (especially Americans and Britishers) think the way I am thinking right now!

One and a half hour...

Nothing big man...i just had my life's first ever longest drive: "one and a half hour". Yes. A drive from Sharjah to Dubai right after Sehri (the morning breakfast in Ramadan).
So at about 4.50 am i was out of the house and back at about 6.23!

Well the main purpose of my drive was to see shorter and better routes to my college in a non-rush hour time. In Dubai/Sharjah the only time there is no rush is from 2 a.m to 5 a.m. on weekdays and a wee bit longer on weekends! Since I am a new driver and am not that perfect so i thought i would go with my dad and i would get some actual road practice too! So I drove my dad's Pajero to college and back.

As far as my experience is concerned...it was tensed for only one reason: my dad was with me! Come on...you are driving your dad's car...no sorry...jeep and he is sitting right beside you and he is such a perfect driver...you do tend to get tensed!

Oh...oh...i even went on the bridge! YES! My first time on the bridge. But it was bad too. I got quiet a few scoldings from my dad, because i wasn't driving it properly!

But overall, it was good! WOHO!

NOTE: MY VOCAB IS PRETTY GOOD BUT MY PROBLEM IS THAT I CANT USE SOPHISTICATED STYLE OF WRITING IN MY BLOGS! IT ANNOY ME TO READ OTHER BLOGS WITH SUCH GREAT ENGLISH AND I LOOK FUNNY! ANYHELP?

Heroes is BACK!

Yes YEs! Heroes is back....and as you can see its just a few days away! So hold on tight...coz it is about to rock us again!
And those who don't watch it...u better start on it!

hmm....

Seriously I have started to hate blog writing. I just can't seem to find anything I can write about. I don't watch news so thats a ZERO...bollywood/hollywood is getting boring by the day...and life as usual is so cooly stuck! So my ability to write a blog is slowly decreasing to ZERO!

Anyways...BYE!

Just an update!

THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE....

Apparently there was an eartquake here in UAE that was travelling from Iran..my friend in the opposite building felt it. But I didn't and neither did anyone in our house! funny eh...but thats the fact!

And if that wasn't enough, the stupid "BIG BANG" experiment is about to happen today. SHIT! Is Science gonna kill us all or what! I think its about time these scientists should slow down on their wild imaginations and let people live happily!

for those who don't know what the hell it is...it's called the CERN Experiment. The CERN experiment in simple words:

Scientists are trying recreate conditions just after the Big Bang when the universe was born.

In a large collider which has been cooled to 271 degrees centigrade, particles will be made to collide at nearly the speed of light.

All of this will take place in a 27 kilometre long tunnel, 80 metres below the earth's surface.

The scientists are looking for a fundamental particle called Higgs Bozon. They are expecting data to be generated on particles and the radiation.

It is the most expensive experiment ever to be conducted.(NDTV.com)
Something else to worry about...
-->While no one knows what to expect yet, some researchers have raised concerns saying that the experiment may trigger natural calamities eventually leading to the end of the world.

-->There have been concerns that the experiment could create anti-matter or black holes but scientists say they are unfounded. (NDTV.com)
So hold on people...earth might just be at its verge of non existence! Or manybe not....

Annoyingly annoying...

Life doesn't take a huge turn at times! And that gets VERY annoying. You just want life to move ahead. And it is just stuck at that very insignificant point. To talk in Fifa language, your overall has reached its peak and will develop slowly...very slowly! Shit this is getting serious! I DONOT like to write serious stuff!

Its just 10th september and colloger doesn't start for another 25 days or so. And I have nothing better to do in life then to play Fifa/PES/Def Jam/Guitar Hero all the time. Fifa is like my all time craze now. Can't get enough of it. Guess what I did after winning 5 seasons!!!! I freakin deleted my whole "manager mode" by mistake. I was emptying out my memory card (PS), deleting all my Fifa goal recordings. And in the midst of all that, I deleted my "manager mode", my "tournament mode", my "coop mode" and all my made players! So i did it all over again! takes time but i like it (i made a really cute player too!) Sometimes things get very funnily annoying! Oh "annoying" reminds of something. Why not write a blog on things that are VERY annoying (for me atleast)! Oh finally. I have something productive to write about!

And the list goes...
1]Rakhi Sawant
2]Yahoo Messenger
3]Chain Mails
4]When i can't sleep at night!
5]Man U fans
6]People who keep telling that wrestling is "fake"! ALRIGHT I KNOW IT!
7]Pop-up
8]when people keep talking on messengers/upfront and dont get the whole point that i DONOT wish to talk at the moment
9]Spelling mistakes/ wrong sentence structures
10]Commerials...the REALLY stupid ones
11]Some of my friends (like the one im talking to at the moment!)
12]When people just can't accept the truth that i am better than them in some matters. I mean..HELLO...dont they get the point or what!?
13]When people pull my hair from the back
14]When people ask me questions that have a TOTALLY obvious answer like "oh you are here?...no not exactly...i thought i was there!"
15]Politicians
16]News channels
17]Ekta's "K" serials
18]People who chew REALLY loud.
19]People who makes funny noises while driving
20]People who kick your chair in the plane
21]Americans
22]People who stick there noses into EVERYTHING!
23]When I forget something within a second or two.
24]Shahrukh Khan
25]Guys with girly looks
26]Guys who wax
27]Girls who make a huge fuss out of everything
28]People who point at every single thing ang do the same thing at another time
28]Asif Ali Zardari
29]Women who think that a man in house is EVERYTHING! and they JUST want a son!!!!! (what the hell are you alive for?)
30]People who annoy you on purpose
And the list goes on...

Btw...who says girls gossip a lot! my OWN personal experience tells me...that guys do the gossip blabbering a LOT!

I'm bakk...

Ok. So i know that i haven't written since... FOREVER! Mid june is a LOOONNNGGGG way. Sincelrely I had my exams and then long long vacations without any possibilty of internet connections. Ok fine!!! I did get to surf a few times, but come on! I was on my vacations. Who would sit and write a blog? So here goes my long boringly short life story since the 16th of june!

My exams started on the 22nd of june (im guessing here!) So i had to study. Dont really remember whether i actually studied or not...i think...no im pretty sure i did! So all my exams went by quiet well. Except for the last one. For particularly 2 reasons. One, the stupid teacher had set a really hard and weird paper in which even the VERY good students messed up. Second, Germany lost the Euro cup to Spain! God how i cried that day! :((((((

On the 4th of july we left UAE to go on a 11 day Euro Trip! So we went to Amsterdam, Paris and London. Amsterdam was ok. It wasn't that much fun. Paris was fun man. I walked like 12 kms everyday. And i was surprised to see how small Paris is. It's bout 144 km in area (guesstimation!) But the point is...ITS SMALL! And only damn rich people live in Paris. The normal middle class family lives in areas outside Paris. And finally london. Only one word: BORING! Make sure you don't go to London after seeing all the historical places in other parts of Europe. Because then London seems just normal. Nothing above it! But i LOVVVEEEEDDDD going to Taussads! That was fun. But i couldm't believe that I missed some of my favorite actors (we actually arrived a little late!)

The best of all was when i went to my mamo's house (my mom's bro). He went to London when I was about 5 and I went to his house after 14 years. He was sooooo overwhelmed. Never saw him cry before. And then came the trip to pakistan. Yes it was good. Loved meeting my baby...my MOST favorite cousin Hassaan. But as you may know, or you may not know. Pakistan can't come to you with a lot of ease. With in 5 days or so everyone was on bed. Coughing and sneezing their way out of the house. Horrible! Oh and i did celebrate my bday on the 9th of July....WOHOOOO!!!!! I turned 19....

As far as other things go, i developed a few interests:
1]Soccer....IM CRAZY ABOUT IT! My life revolves on soccer now. TV, PS, comp, mobile...etc etc
2]Reading books...lost the touch in between. But im back at it
3] surprisingly enough...Studyin for college!
4] since i had to choose a team for soccer.. i have officially made Liverpool my fav team (guess my layout says everything!)

Im tired of writing now and so i shall say my goodbyes to you! Have fun and miss me! BYE!

Its that time...again...

Do you those times, when tention just surrounds you and you have no clue as to what should be done now? If so, then welcome to my world. And why on this wide earth would I feel so? Hah! No idea eh...well then, allow me explain the tragic course of my life.

To begin with, I have realized the world is an awfully dreadful place to spend your whole life (I wonder when are they gonna SERIOUSLY find life on Mars!). People are not very friendly, it seems as if no one understands you, life seems to be goin down the hill, you seem to question your own existence, your life seems insignificant, you tend to think that people around expect too much from you, you study/work life is just not upto the mark, blah blah blah. And in that muddle of emotions like tention, depression, grief, stress, loneliness, withdrawal, suffering everything gets lost and the only thing you feel is suicidal. In those moments, you merely need a person who can understand you, to sit beside you and lets you shed tears on their shoulder.

But is there anyone here who you can trust, who you can feel safe with, whose shoulder you can use. Maybe there is, but what is the extent of trust on them? How much can they help you? You cant answer those questions so easily. A single answer or even a word can change the way you feel, but does it really help?
Questions that cannot be answered, people that cannot be trusted, life that doesn't get better, and emotions that cannot be portrayed. There is nothing worse that one wants in life. And, trust me, when it really happens you want nothing more that death. The beautiful eternal sleep that forever keeps you happy!

Royals are ALWAYS Royals...

What a match! Nail biting finish. The minute the game went to the second last over, the T20 final popped up in my mind. Didnt want my favorite team to lose this time around. Royals HAD to win. You hardly get to see such amazing performances and such balanced teams. My other two favorite teams (Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers) didnt do that well.

Well lest look at the finals. The match was boring in the beginning. Looking at the scores the Kings made (163), seemed like an easy target for Royals. But I must say tha the Kings kept it tight and held strong. Took it to the last ball. I guess two things really helped in the last two overs, the four on the seventh last ball and the wide delivered by Balaji. I guess the wide helped more. Or else the game might have gone to the 'Bowl out'...which would hae been TOTALLY unpredictable.

The awards turned out be quiet good. All of them predictable. But yet amazing.

In every aspect, the final was beyond expectations. One of the best I have ever seen. The part I thought was the best was Dhoni's spirit. Not a huge fan of him but have to accept the fact tha he has command and is one of the best captains. Well ofcourse after Shane Warne ;).

Nothing could have made my night better!

Jannat

Jannat is by far one of the best movies I have seen in my life. It surely ranks in my top 10. Seems like the Bhatts never run out of ideas. The theme holds strong for the whole film: "Simplicity is better than materialism". Unlike of what you might think, it is NOT a film based on bookies. It is purely a love story.

For sure the story revolves around the bookies world, but in the midst of all that, there is a girl, who for love's sake, buries her own happiness.

The story starts of in a simple and most typical manner. Boy meets girl, they fall in love, they do crazy things, the boy can go to any extent to keep his love happy. Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) is a middle class man with big ambitions. And his only way of achieving the impossible is by taking a shortcut. Zoya (Sonal Chauhan) is a simple orphaned girl with ambitions. The only difference is the way she wants to achieve her dreams. Arjun graduates from being a small gambler to the most favorite bookie. And this is when the story takes a turn. As Arjun digs deeper into the world of betting and fixing, he starts to lose his love. When Zoya finally finds our Arjuns truth, she hands him over to the police. Arjun spends time in jail and when is finally let out, he goes in search for Zoya.

After a series of emotional sentences, Arjun promises to leave this path and follow Zoya to happiness. But as it is, bad habits can never be destroyed. Arjun struggles to keep his life on track and one look of jannat, promises are forgotten. Zoya is aghast and can't believe that her trust has been broken twice. She forces him out of the house, but can't forget him. Before playing his one last fixture, things go amiss. He is blamed for a murder he hasn't committed. At that time the only person he wants to meet is his girlfriend. Once again, the girl asks him to surrender because she knows he is innocent. He obeys, but not long after Arjun dies in Zoya's arms.

Along with all that, there is something else that plays an important role in the film. A Ring. They meet because of the ring, Arjun goes to extremes to get that ring, he tries to give the ring its right place, he feels the burden on the ring on him, and he dies because of the ring.

Well yeah the story was not well placed, the emotions were not displayed well, their love was not given total justice. Yet this is one film that is not to be missed.

A very bad day...

Have you ever had a day...where everything just goes wrong? Well today was my day. Life started of well in the morning. I was actually not feeling sleepy at all. Went to college... life started to move slowly (as always). But, god, I had NEVER asked for that much fun. My heart almost jumped into my hands when it happened. The reason behind, as I assume it to be, is that it happened for the first time to me! Well...even before that something happened which, I personally do not find the need to discuss...but to be short....IT WAS HORRIBLE!!
Moving on to the main event. How should I describe it? Well to start off... it was painfully dreadful. So here it goes. On two days...me and my classmates/friends/buddies etc. are free between the not-so-cool hours of 1 pm - 4 pm, which in turn, gives us 3 hours of nothingness. Obviously, since we are in an age of hyper activeness, we need a good past time, in which we do not have to stay in college and so we sometimes go out. Today was the sometimes when we have to go out. And our ONLY hope is always 'Sam the Great' (shes a girl btw and this is her nickname!), just because that lady has a car and is quiet a good driver. Since I have just got a license and am not that good at driving, so I practice in Sam's car (have done only once before and today was the second time).
Its only 5-8 minutes walk to 'Marry Brown', but since its so freaking hot in Dubai, you cannot possibly think of walking that short distance and so I insisted on taking the car (because i wanted to drive :)). So I parked the car safely in front of MB and we all were having a meal (4 girls) when three of our friends passed by MB, since they were headed for Caesar's (15 minutes walk from college). One of the guys, Taher, calls up and asks if Sam could drop them back to college just because they didn't wish to walk back in that hot, sweaty weather. We agreed.
So me and Sam left MB's to pick them up. And thus began the ride to our untimely, unneeded fate.
Sam took a u-turn and headed back for the college on the same road. Cars were parked on both sides of the road (it is a two way road without a divider). So from our side, a woman in Mazda 3 wished to go on the opposite lane. Her car was parked in a way that her cars front faced the road (she had reversed parked it!). We were about a 100m away when she moved her car out a little bit, so naturally, Sam slowed down to let her go but she stopped and so Sam accelerated. Again the lady moved out a little bit again (there was some space available between the main road and the parking). Naturally (again!) Sam decelerated the Mazda 6 but the stupid lady stopped again. And then Sam accelerated again. With only 10m gap left between the two cars, this time around, the lady got a move on and BANG! the two cars bumpers collided. I was sitting on the passengers front seat and the bloody car was so close to me. I had my coke in my hand and the only thing I could do at that time was *slurp*. I slurped the whole coke within 40 seconds.
WOW! Now that was something good eh. Well on Sam's request we left for college after 10 minutes of waiting. Whilst on my way to college, I saw the police car arrive and was happy to know that they arrived early.
For the first time EVER, thanks to this accident, I was actually awake in my Aircraft System Principles class. Hell yeah it was fun. It rocked...though I was scared!

Is change bad?

why do people have problems when someone wishes to change for good? Can the change be so harmful to people that they give you the worst looks possible? I seriously don't understand why all that happens, but for once the person can be left alone. How hard is it to do so?

That is what i wanted to do and that is what i have done but suddenly it seems like a crime. My friends keep asking me questions that i don't want to answer, people show that they disagree with this change and all this ANNOYS me like hell. I just feel so frustrated. Its not there life, its MINE and ONLY mine. They have no right to get angry or mad at me. Plus some of them are not even friends who should get angry.

God...i don't know what to say. I just want to hang myself. You know what the problem is? They can't be ignored so easily either and that, my friend, is a killer.

I wish I could crush someone into pieces. People wish to rule over me...and i aint letting that happen...at least not now!

To my friends...

There are times when suddenly everything changes in life. People you have never liked, or thought no better of them have become important to you. Thats what happened to me this semester. I already had a good freind but then two people whom I never talked freely with just because I didn't like them that much seem to important to me now.
Usually when people tell me that there is something I shouldn't do or something is not good about me, I seriously get pissed off. But whatever these two friends tell me, no matter how bad it is, nothing pisses me off. I have grown too fond of these two people, and I love hanging around with them.
Just something I found online, like it and thats why im posting it here:

To Izzah, Sam, Fiji, Madiha, Anam, Princilla, Abhi, Hibba and Aleena

When i'm happy,
I look at my hand
And search for the line
That made me lucky enough
To have a friend like you

The award for the worst film goes to...

TASHAN

I wanted to watch this movie as a time pass and more over after reading the bad reviews I wanted to check out how bad it can be. But I must say that this film is not even worth as a time pass or a check-out. When a whole bunch of people say its bad...TRUST THEM! The movies starts of well but then you see Saif for the first time on screen and the movie starts to end even before it has begun.

When we see a Yash Raj film ad on TV, we expect to see good films and above all good stories that have everything in it. But lately that has changed. Yash Raj has started to depend more on star cast and style rather than the story line. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Tararumpum, Aaja Nachle and now Tashan. What ahs gotten into the Yash group only God can tell. Every single hype created for this film has turned only to disaster.

A few questions that bugged me through out the film:

  1. where is the story?

  2. why is the music below expectations?

  3. why wasnt Akshay given more attention in promos?

  4. where is the chemistry between the new "Hot Couple"?

  5. where is the expected screenplay?

  6. why is there the unwanted action?

  7. why can't 1000 people kill three people?

  8. how on earth can u get a speed boat in a nala (sewer)?

Akshay certainly stood out more than the others. He was by far the best thing that could happen to Tashan. Saif seemed like an object that was there for no reason. Kareena seemed to be in the film ONLY to show her size 0 look. Anil acted very well as the "English" speaking don.

There are some good point in the film but then over all it falls on the negative. The story could be MUCH stronger. With the actors Yash Raj had in hand, and the versatility of all the actors, the storyline could have done better.

A good try to copy film styles from the 70's but am sure if it was released in the 70's it would still be a flop. All in all if you want to watch a film, then you can watch a film from the 70's rather than watching Tashan.

But if you still want to watch it, then go ahead.

Mini-Skill Club

The first time anything reproductive ever happened in our college apart from studies is the 'Mini-Skill Club'. Thanks to our friends who came up with this amazing idea of learning and teaching new things to others. Out first day was quiet good. We kept it all amongst ourselves. Only a handful of people knew about it and less than a handful came. Ofcourse the only reason was timing problems. But still it was fun. A good way to pass your time when you have nothing at all to do!
Yesterday in our first class we made PAPER PLANES! No...not the basic one. Anyone can do that. But we made the ones that are a little more harder and one of them flies SICK! it is so smooth and goes to far. Just totally amazed.
Well in out next session we are planning to teach Photoshop. That means I hav to be ready for it! WOHOOO!!! It's my turn to be a teacher.
