There are times when you really need to soothe your mind because you have had too much to think or work too much. To cut a long story short you need to relax. So I tried to find a new way and the only thing I could possibly think of was SLOW songs or Ghazals. Well I went for Ghzalas.
For all you people who dont know what Ghazals are, here is a short discription:

In poetry, the ghazal is a poetic form consisting of rhyming couplets and a refrain. Each line must share the same meter. Ghazals were written by the Persian mystics and poets Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi (13th century) and Hafez (14th century), he Turkish poet Fuzuli (16th century), as well as Mirza Ghalib (1797–1869) and Muhammad Iqbal (1877–1938), who both wrote Ghazals in Persian and Urdu. Through the influence of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749–1832), the ghazal became very popular in Germany in the 19th century, and the form was used extensively by Friedrich Rückert (1788–1866) and August von Platen (1796–1835). The Kashmiri-American poet Agha Shahid Ali was a proponent of the form, both in English and in other languages; he edited a volume of "real ghazals in English." (Wikipedia)

So I sat down on my desk, switched on my laptop and went for an extensive search for good Ghazals. There are a few artists who are extremely talented but its kind of hard to find songs to download since the world today has lost respect and likness for music of that type.
A few artists who songs I downloaded:
  • Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
  • Mohammed Rafi
  • Farida Khanum
  • Tina Sani
  • Kishore
  • Mukesh
  • Jagjit Singh
  • Ghulam Ali
  • Hariharan
  • Lata Mangeshkar
  • Asha Bhosle
  • Mehdi Hassan
  • Pankaj Udhas
  • Noor Jahan

These voices have some beauty man. Try listening to some ghazals from them. They SERIOUSLY rock.
