Long nights of movies

So...recently I saw a few new movies. Maybe not all the movies in the list that I planned to, but I certainly did watch a few! So here I go.

The Duchess:
As usual, Keira looked absolutely stunning in her usual old time looks. Nothing beats that lady when it comes to style, poise and beauty. The story of a woman who lives in a world where women are not given much importance. And that includes her husband: The Duke of Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes). Though the duchess (Keira) has everything- beauty, style, people who love her - yet she misses the love of her husband because she cannot give him an heir. He also steals her best friend from her. Along with all that, she mothers her two daughters and the daughter of her husband’s affair. Her temper and patience touches sky high after six years of her marriage when the Duke gets into an affair with her best friend. To get away from all this she finds remorse and ease in a man she once knew before marriage - Charles Grey (Dominic Cooper). Finally, she gives birth to the heir of Devonshire. Still, as the loneliness survives in her, she finds her love, while her husband is away celebrating his heir. Yet again, her husband interferes in her life and forces her to leave that only love or else never see her children again. As a mother, she could not abandon her children. But she carries the child of her lover. She gives birth to Grey's daughter and the child is given to Grey for the sake of the duke's name. And she re-enters the society to resume her duties as a mother and the Duchess of Devonshire. She remained an icon of beauty and art.

Delhi 6:
When I sat down to watch the movie, as expected, I had really high hopes from Rakeysh, but all in vain.
It was a story of a man Roshan (Abhishek) who comes from US to India for the first time with his grandmother. The story revolves around his life and his how to realizes his roots.
The story was good, it meant something. But it was portrayed in the worst way possible. Things were confusing. Characters didn’t have a great feel and were confusing to understand. The linking of concepts to real life values was a good idea, but it would have been MUCH better if it was laid out properly. The early confusions in the movie are carried through out and never get resolved. Questions are not answered, story is dragged from here and there and At times, it feels as if you are watching a re-cap of a show and not a proper movie. The proper depiction of the ideas would have made the movie worth a watch!

Billu Barber:
Just like any other SRK movie - a good past time. Billu (Irfan Khan) is a barber in a small village and his business is not as good as before. Sahir Khan (SRK) is a superstar who comes to the village for the shooting of his movie. Billu is Sahir’s childhood friend. The story spreads in the village and people suddenly start respectinf Billu and ask him to call Sahir. Billu is too shy to talk to Sahir because he feels as if Sahir has forgotten him. When the people see no hope they call Billu a faker. Story is just about fine. Not a strong one. But all that glamour sure pulls you in and at least can keep you watching the movie. Half way along, the pace gets slow and you would just wish that the movie would get over soon. The last scene is nice and for the first time you feel some emotion in the movie. A few scenes in the movie are just there for no reason and you wonder…has SRK lost his touch?

40 Year Old Virgin:
About a 40 year old man who is a virgin and his road to losing his virginity. Gosh people in my college laughed while they watched the movie. I didn’t know how. They all talked about it and I thought I should finally watch it. And I did. And I wondered why? Nothing was funny. The story was slow and lame. Annoying little movie. Don’t even want to talk much about it!

50 First Dates:
Henry (Adam) is a vet in Hawaii who favorite past time is having short a week or 2-3 days date with a non-local girl. One day he goes to a restaurant and meets Lucy. He starts liking her. He meets her again next day and she seems to have forgotten him. It then that he finds out that Lucy has lost her short term memory to an accident and she remembers everything a day before that accident.
Sweetest movie ever. Along with the fun element, the emotions portrayed are very well. You really feel for the girl. You feel for her family, her life and her man. Sandler as usual does a great job. That man never loses his funny touch! His determination to keep his love to himself is amazing to watch. His ways of making her fall in love with her EVERYDAY is just startling. Even you fall in love with the character every time. Definitely worth a watch a million times.

A Walk to Remember:
Based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. Landon (Shane West) is just another teenage mean boy. He cares the least about his life. On the other hand, Jamie (Mandy Moore) is a girl who has been studying with Landon since primary school. She is full of faith and optimism. Landon gets into trouble and is forced to do things that he doesn’t want to. One of the is playing the lead role in the school spring play. There he talks to Jamie for the first time properly and soon falls in love with her. They start going out. But then Jamie tells him that she is going to die soon since she has stopped responding to her treatments for Leukemia. Landon is heartbroken and the story after that is just heart breaking. The movie received a lot of negative feedback, but for me this the all-time best love movie. It’s hard to write down what this movie portrays. And it’s impossible that at one time or the other you don’t feel like crying. The movie can make you laugh, make you cry or even both at the same time. Mandy Moore was just plain marvelous. I don’t even know what else to write. Everything I will write will be an understatement. So just please watch it if you havent yet!

New Stuff

Ohk...so after a long time, i have changed things. I know i recently changed my blog...but didnt like the revamp, so did it again.

Changed the Lame Shame style too: http://lameshame.tk/

And finally, i made my artwork site =D: Emoxaph Creaxionz

Ahhh...and thats it!

*drool*

Ohk...wondering what the title means? dont...im just talking about this new crush i have. And as you can guess, its Wentworth Miller. Yup yup. Love everything about him: smile, talking way, walking way....HUGE list.

Who cares about Aamir Khan and Daniel Radclifee anymore when you have Went. (those two are still on the list...but Went is above them all!!)

And can you believe this: "Wentworth is also single and remains to be so until he states otherwise." How can such a hot guy be single even for a minute!? HOW??

The Heart of a Mother

Once there was a mother, who single-handedly raised her son. Her son grew up to be a very nice person. One day at his work he met a girl and fell in love with her. They started seeing each other. But the girl knew that the boy lives with his mother and she wanted him to separate after marriage. So the girl told the guy, "Get me your mothers heart and i will marry you."

The guy agreed and went home. There in the house, his mother had just laid down the plates for dinner. He looked at her and could not do it. Next morning he went to his girlfriend and told her what had happened. The girl refused to marry him. He sopped her and said that he will do it for her. That night he went home late so that he doesn't have to face his mother. He took her heart while she was asleep.

Suddenly guilt rushed over him and he closed his eyes. He saw the face of his girlfriend and ran to her. On the way, he tripped and fell down. So did the mother's heart. The heart said, "Son are you okay? Have you been hurt?". He picked up the heart and ran. He gave it to her and asked her to marry him. She thought about it and said to the guy, "You coudn't be true to your mother, how can you be true to me?" and left her.

He was charged for the murder of his mother. The judge said that he should be hanged to death. The mother's heart was also in the courtroom. Upon hearing the verdict, the heart said, "He's my son. I forgive him."

Get me a life please

Ohk...so first things first.

What are the first things first btw? GOSH! my life has become something so vague now. I dont know what's happening. All day long I sit near the laptop stare at the screen, wondering what i should do and then do something really stupid, technically a waste of time.

Okay, let me write something sensible. You can see a significant change. Yes, its the change in my layout =D. Finally after ages i have changed the way it looks and i like it so im going to keep it for as long as possible. And so has my intro page changed. I like that too. I did do a lot of thinking (if you believed that...your lame!)

I have started watching Prison Break. One hell of a series and the guy is just superbly hot! Breaks your heart to see Scoffield crying. I couldn't help myself and cried along. *sob sob*

Results are in, they were ok. some of them not what i had expected (in a bad way). Just want to go back to college and start the next sem coz i brain has gone into a "shut up" phase. Very bad phase.
